About Ilana
Ilana is licensed to practice acupuncture by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in acupuncture and Chinese herbology.
She received her Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, where she trained in both acupuncture and herbal medicine. She studied in China, at the Zhe Zhiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also apprenticed for seven years with the holistic nourishment counselor Halé Sofia Schatz.
Ilana completed a post-graduate two-year Chinese herbal course with Sharon Weizenbaum of White Pine Healing Arts, with a focus in women’s health.
She is a certified Dr. Sear’s L.E.A.N family wellness coach. and offers family nutrition classes.
Trained to treat a wide variety of conditions, her areas of specialty are gastro-intestinal health, family nutrition, women’s health and Candida.
She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, and has been in private practice in the Boston area since 2004.
She lives with her husband and two children in Newton, MA.
